Tick Control

Our area has seen a dramatic increase in tick-borne diseases, including Lyme Disease, Ehrlichiosis, Babesiosis and the Powassan virus. In addition to treating your property, our arborists can make recommendations on how to make your yard a less tick-friendly environment.

Tip: Besides wearing light colored clothing when entering woods, staying away from tall grass, checking people and pets daily, using repellents etc. — placing a 3-ft wide barrier of wood chips or gravel between lawns and wooded areas can restrict tick migration into recreational areas.

Spraying your yard for mosquitoes can help keep you and your family safe. Mosquitoes have a broad host range including man, domestic and wild animals, and birds. They have the potential to transmit West Nile, encephalitis, dengue, yellow fever and dog heartworm. While some species of mosquitoes come out only after dusk, others are around all-day long (even in full sun).
