Human Resources (HR) Manager

Salary Range: $70,000 - $85,000 a year

Basic Function of this Position:

As the Human Resources (HR) District Manager, you will be responsible for driving profit in the Company through the effective application of human resources activities and programs. We’ll count on your skills and years of experience to be a champion of our company values, ensuring an engaged workforce, loyal customers, efficient operations and a bright future for yourself and the Company.


What you’ll do on a typical day (include but not limited to):

  • Partner with ownership and leadership to identify and implement HR interventions that have a direct impact on the profitability of the Company; communication and coordination with local and district management.
  • Drive performance and talent management processes in the Company.
  • Coach and counsel management and hourly employees regarding policies and procedures, discipline, interpersonal and teamwork opportunities; investigate and resolve employee relations issues that arise in the service centers.
  • Promote employee engagement through regular, personal contact resulting in a positive employee relations atmosphere.
  • Drive effective full cycle recruiting, selection and on-boarding activities for salaried employees and hourly employees.
  • Ensure compliance with all company, government, labor and transportation industry regulations; deliver training to maintain compliance.
  • DOT compliance and Harassment Training throughout the Company.
  • Career Fairs at Colleges throughout the U.S.
  • Ensure all Performance Reviews are completed yearly for all salaried and hourly employees.
  • Holding the standards of the company throughout the company and ensuring we are in compliance and achieving goals of industry standards.
  • Managing Internship Programs throughout the Company.


What you need to succeed:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related field.
  • 5 years in HR in complex environments with 3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Proficiency in HRMS, Microsoft Office and related HR software.
  • Availability to travel 25% of your time.
  • Social media experience in recruitment.
  • Exceptional multi-tasking and organizational skills.
  • Must work well independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Must have a keen sense of urgency.


It’d be great if you also have:

  • HR certification
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation and listening skills
  • Strong overall business and financial acumen
  • Demonstrated ability to manage highly sensitive and confidential information
