It grows only to about 10 feet tall compared to other types of maples that can be up to 100 feet.... (more)

Almstead is pleased to introduce a wonderful book called “A Habit of Seeing: Journeys in Natural Science” by our client, Sura Jeselsohn. In it, the author routinely marvels at the hidden wonders of the natural environment, spectacles that can be enjoyed without the fuss of exotic travel. She recounts adventures big and small in encountering the ecological gems hiding in plain sight. Kirkus Review calls the book, “A lucidly informative tour of the natural world’s astonishing complexity, cheerfully conveyed.”

Please support her by purchasing a copy. It is available on Amazon and other online book stores. Read Sura’s blog on nature at surajeselsohn.com
