We also gave all the students White Spruce seedlings to take home with them and plant.

CONNECTICUT

New Canaan Nature Center

Almstead arborist Jack Lambert joined students at the New Canaan Nature Center to celebrate Earth Day with a special tree planting event. Together, they added a 15-gallon Red Fuji Apple tree to the orchard, marking the occasion with enthusiasm and hands-on learning. After the planting, Jack spoke to the 88 students present about the vital role trees play in our environment. The children then circled the newly planted tree for a lively "tree dance" and helped spread mulch to protect its roots. To wrap up the celebration, each student received a White Spruce seedling from Almstead to take home and plant.
