TCIA Accreditation
When you hire a company that has been accredited by the TCIA you can be assured that it meets the highest industry standards of quality, safety, and professionalism…
Almstead is accredited by the TCIA and adheres rigorously to all their guidelines for best practices. In addition, most of our arborists have also been individually certified and tested by the TCIA to demonstrate a certain standard of tree care knowledge through the Certified Treecare Safety Professional (CTSP) program. It includes tree biology, pruning standards, transplanting, tree disease and injury diagnosis, construction injury prevention, safety, soil science, and disease and pest control. Almstead is licensed in each region we serve and each branch office has licensed arborists for that state.
We Abide by the TCIA Code of Ethics
Almstead is proud to follow the Tree Care Industry Association Code of Ethics as detailed below:
Tree Care Industry Association recognizes that the manner in which members conduct business reflects upon the professionalism of the entire tree care industry and the arboriculture profession. Therefore, upon acceptance into membership, TCIA requests that members abide by the Arborist Pledge and the TCIA Code of Ethics in word, action, and within the spirit of integrity, which is at the core of these principles.
Members of Tree Care Industry Association assume a responsibility to the profession, society and their peers by pledging to uphold and abide by the following:
This Code of Ethics is the property of the Tree Care Industry Association. For valuable consumer information on professional tree care, visit their web site at tcia.org.
Why Use A TCIA Accredited Tree Care Company?
Selecting a tree care company isn’t easy because most people do not know what to look for. To make this process easier, and more standardized, the Tree Care Industry Association (TCIA) has created an Accreditation Program that consumers can use to find companies that have been inspected and accredited based on adherence to industry standards for quality, safety, and professionalism, as well as dedication to ethics and quality in business practices. It also checks to see if the companies it accredits have licenses for the states that they operate in.
It is the only business practices and compliance audit program for tree care companies in America. In short, accreditation by the TCIA provides peace of mind to consumers when they hire a tree care specialist or company.
About the Program:
The TCIA Accreditation program is considered the gold standard in the tree care industry. It is a voluntary program that credentials companies that meet stringent criteria for professionalism, employee training, state and federal safety regulations, business ethics and customer satisfaction. Under the process, tree companies undergo an extensive review and a comprehensive audit of professional and business practices aimed at safeguarding consumers.
Only companies that meet the high standards established by the TCIA can use their Tree Care Industry Association (TCIA) accredited company seal. It indicates that consumers can hire these companies with the confidence and knowledge that they have been thoroughly checked by the TCIA.
